The VF22 has a pretty late spool up. I'd say it starts around 2500 with full boost by 3250-3500 but from thence on is pulling incredibly hard right to the redline.

From what I'm told, and I don't know because my '35 ain't fitted yet, I should see full boost by 3000.
That might not sound like a huge difference but it's noticeable and makes the car feel alot more responsive.

And my cars a uk spec MY99 running 317.5bhp WITHOUT a remap.

VF35 can be had cheaply is the quickest spooling turbo next to the TD04 variants, will be significantly newer than the VF22 and is amenable to running without a DV if you want the turbo chatter sound. Will produce 340ish bhp and similar torque with the right supporting mods.

See my profile.

Will benefit from better intercooling (FMIC if you have a classic) and 550 injectors.

A nice open neck downpipe will sort that out. Mine starts boosting at about 2200rpm and hits full boost by about 3300rpm.

I didn't like how the top of the windows started to open at 140mph.
And theres always the question in the back of my mind..Whats gonna explode??
But I don't get that feeling one the bike pushing past 170mph. Also on the autobahn....

The VF35 won't fit an early one matey. they're front entry.

I had a VF34 on mine a year ago and it was a great turbo, i got 337bhp with 317lb/ft out of it and was great on country lanes with little lag

so does the vf22 make the same power as the vf35 just with later spool up?

or does it make more and pull to the red line where a vf35 will start to die off?

We only have 1x VF35 (used) left now. PM for price.

For the next step up in power we have brand new TD05-18g turbos in stock.

have you thought about a vf23, spools up quicker than vf22 and one hell of a punch at 3000rpm onwards. fitted one to my 2000 what a diffrence.
