Porting Standard Headers
as title, what exactly do you have to do to them and is it something you have to get done professionally or can you have a go yourself?
Lastly, what are the benefits in doing this?

I think the general idea is to offer up the gaskets, and you will see how much to open them out/port them. I wouldn't bother myself,as you really need a die grinder,to much like hard work, just get an exchange set from Harvey etc.

I've just taken mine off to port. Well. most of them coz i nut rounded itself
And TBH, with the amount of work involved, I've shelled out for new tubular manifolds.
I've got a big compressor and a die grinder but theres LOADS of material that needs removing and for big hp you'll need tubular headers anyway.
If your not going for over 350ish then ported headers will be fine.
