Default What Injectors and mods for 340bhp!?

Does anyone know what injectors come standard on a classic wrx import?

Thinking of what mods I need before I plan for re-map. With a TD05, de-cat & up-pipe, FMIC, aiming for 340bhp on standard internals... is this achievable on these mods?

Cheers!

440's will do it but you may have 380's depending upon year. The rest should do it but you'll need an ECU. And a gearbox when yours breaks

Not at standard fuel pressure it's not but don't get hooked on figures, the hit from a well set-up TD05 can and will destroy the standard 5speed at far lower power outputs.

Increasing fuel pressure and using a fuel additive could give the potential for a real 340bhp.

My MY00 survived 333 bhp but the torques were only 310lbft. The very first time I put my foot down at 350lbft it exploded

i think they are slightly stronger than wrx/uk boxes but at the spec you have if you launch drag style id expect strange noises and not a lot of movement, speaking from another typeR owner destroyed gearbox and clutch with 300/300 but did a LOT of track drag days and 8k rpm in top with that spec id hope you were on a private road

My 2L had problems with 350 bhp and 5 speed, would shake gearstick (well, like bad rumble but no noise as such through stick) in higher gears flooring her - they wont last.

I do love the 2.5L forged route though, had to change everything, even my 6 speed box needs some TLC soon. Not long changed the engine/box mounts for Cucso really hard items as the sti stuff just isn't upto the torque.

Back to topic, get pump uprated and fuel pressure reg, plus decent map..but dont expect box to last long with fast starts or high top speed runs.

So if I was looking for an upgraded box @ some point after modding and a good re-map...is there a specific box that would be safe at 340bhp?

Does anybody know a good mapper in the south london/kent area at all!? dont mind an hour or two!

Gearbox. It's the torque that kills boxes apparently!

Phil, I was OK up to 333bhp with a VF35.

we had the car on the dyno 430 hp 400 ft lbs with a weak wastegate actuator that wont hold enough boost
it has a simtek with anti lag and launch controll
my son launched it off the launch controll a couple of times (on private property) and is trying to break the gearbox generaly to justify a new one, It wont break after a week of thrashing it...

Bad bird, if that's your torque curve then I'm not suprised.

Get yourself a 321T as your GT30 isn't doing the business, especially on a 2.5. It doesn't look very good to me. It looks hugely laggy too.

yeah its not good but as i said there is a wastegate problem JGM said its a realy good turbo and should be well into the 480+hp range but when he mapped it the thing was playing up real bad we expect a lot more but its still 400 ft lbs of tourqe it should be smashing this gearbox to bits my turbo was custom made for tracktives own car to their spec, their car was realy strong with this turbo..Owen solutions built it and rate this at over 500 hp when its fixed
