underneath your steering column in the tangle of wires
They should be fairly obvious once you have found a way to invert yourself underneath the steering wheel, with a torch in your mouth and fending off your friendly dog that takes that moment to lick your crotch

You need to connect the black to black and green to green
They are connectors (blocks)

turn ignition on fully but do not start the car
you should hear the fans run
then foot to floor on accelerator pedal
hold it there for 2 seconds
foot half way
hold it there for 2 seconds
foot off accelerator
start car
go for short drive until check engine light flashes
if it's a contant pulse there is no error
if it a combination of slow and fast pulses, thats your error code.
disconnect green and black connectors when done.

they may be wrapped up in tape if they've never been used before.

They are there/ Make sure you have removed the plastic cowling/undertray from beneath the steering column. This shoukd expose all the wiring in a better and more accessible position.

Then start working you wat through the mess of wires until you find them. I tried finding mine ages ago and both were tucked up and away, but a bit of jiggling and a metyhodical workthrough meant I found them.

Just read that link nmyblackwrx, good photo of it. I've been looking for black wires not black connectors. Gonna give it another go.

As already said really mate. If they have not been used before they'll be a little higher than where you are looking. They are deffo there.

I had same problem as you, very difficult to find.

I found it a sight easier by removing the lower plastic trim (the one with the below the steering wheel), a few screws and poppers secure it in place. Then lie on your back with your head virtually on the pedals. A small maglite in your mouth or a head torch will also make things easier. If you don't see the connectors then look a bit higher. When you find them it will be obvious. There shouldn’t be a lot else under there that is disconnected.

Just another note: The box of tricks for my alarm had been installed under the steering column so this was also in the way. I had to unscrew this too and push it to one side.

They are there bud, don't give up. Far cheaper if you find them eh?

Hi, Was the Black 'Red' Connector identical shape as the Green connector (T shaped with 2 terminals inside) or does the Black connector just have 1 terminal inside?

Many thanks,
Paul
