Default z4 ecu is ecbuggered

well my ecu is knackered its the 4 pin z4 so i need another
do any other modles work on my impreza my96 pre facelift impreza wrx
any help is welcome

may i ask how the ecu is fubared.

Ortherwise ecu models are

U8, W6, 2C 240ps
Z5, 6K 260ps (z5 is from the RA 6k is from STI2)
7k (possibly which is from STI 2 RA iirc)

well i have had the mother of all misfire replaced every know part that wud cause this
well today she broke down again aa come out this guy knew his jap cars wiggled the wires on my ecu bobs ur uncle it started playing up he jamed some rubber in the plugs and it drove home fine

perhaps repairing your ecu may be cheaper as i've seen some people selling early ecus for ridculous amounts.
i bought my z4 for £75 about 2 years ago and have seen thenm for sale for upto £100

no anyone in the game of repairing them as i want it back to ts old self i cant drive my td xantia another weekend in a row

it depends what is required as from your description it just needs the loose wiring reconnected/soldered.

Could always speak to Scott T (PolarPerformance) as he does use early ecus but he may be a long shot

ok well just been out to the car wiggled the wires and she missed and farted so took it out had the cover off nothing seemed wrong so just tightened the screws uf that were there and she is all better no missfire
