Default Newage WRX topmount onto classic

I have just got my mits on a newage WRX topmount i/c. It has come with the Samco Y peice and o/e dumpvalve.

Looking at the Samco hose, I think this will need changing to a classic Samco Y peice.

What other mods are needed to make the tmic fit my RB5.

Thanks Bob

hoses should line up with the exception of the dump valve hose. your RB5 hose comes to the right of the dumpvalve whereas the newage exits at the bottom left. There is a metal pipe underneath that this connects to and is shorter on newage. Other than that you may need to alter brackets to align with IC mounting points.

The i/c hose is certainly a different size to my classic one.

Btt for any other thoughts.

You will need to bend the passenger side bracket and extend the drivers side bracket to fit, you can use a samco silicone hose for the dv and you will also need to change the undertray to get full coverage of the core.

Cheers

Would a standard d/v hose work the same?

It should do as even if there is a slight kink in the hose, did this conversion to my brother's my00 wrx ra last year and it went on fairly easily.
Would also recommend a slightly taller scoop but not an sti 8 type as they look horrid on a classic.
