Default sti version 3&4 internals vs rebuild

hi guys, i have a 1994 sti version 1 and i am thinking of getting an engine rebuild by triton motorsport but i am thinking of just changing the engine for a sti version 3&4 engine my question is this...

the rebuild they do cost saround £3,000 i think and they do use all the best internals, i am looking to get 400bhp over the next few years, would the internals of a sti version 3&4 handle this sort of power or do i need the rebuild on the engine i already have in the car (closed Deck).

Hope you can all understand my question

David
