impreza engine rattle can you help

i have a auto 1994 impreza wrx when i press down the gas peddle to rev the engine as i let off there a rattle noise at the end of every rev.could anybody help with what it could be?

Could well be your heat shield, mine rattles on my MY99. Its noticeable when driving into my garage and when driving at low revs. You can remove them but its more annoying than a problem.
