Not sure what year yours is, but, unless your running big power 350+ just stick to an uprated panel filter. Something like a KN or Green cotton will be fine and a lot cheaper. Also an uprated filter will not damage your MAF.

A typhoon will also not damage your MAF, the MAF retains its origional position. You will need a map though.

I have one fitted to my 05 sti noticed better throttle response good sound and looks nice in engine bay.
Lot of people on here dont like them but im happy with mine,ran it on my o6 wrx before this car for over a year and no problems.
Its each to there own m8.

A power increase from any induction kit will be questionable, but the noise is excellent.
As stated by someone previously, you will need to remap as the change in the way the air passes the MAF sensor is more than likely to confuse it. Mine ran rich and killed the torque.

Got 1 on mine sounds great, looks fab, you get some dump sound. and its a mod and its not a daft 1

If you want to do a mod do it, if you dont, dont do it. this mod will not damage your engine. what ever you do dont do what every body else wants you to do, its not there car, its yours.
They are a fab car std and they are a fab car moded.

now i'v gone on.

I love the sound of mine.
