Default 3000-4000 in need of help -loosing power

Legacy GTB 96 - started to notice in the last couple days that when i put my foot down slowly/or fast that when i get to 3000rpm to 4000rpm just as the first turbo changes to the second the the rev counter spins up to 4000rpm but lack of any power for a couple of seconds then it kicks back in ! and then goes ok again
after shutting down the car i heard i small wine ?

so is the first turbo on the way out - bearings going ?

car doesn't sound right to me - just a different note to it - not much but when you drive your car you know the sound of it - just seems to sound a little different

so it only seems to happen when turbo's are changing over - the engine check light flashed on for about three seconds - small wine maybe from turbo slowing down to stop when switched off tonight - sounds different when driving at the moment

can any one help and tell me what's happening ? how to fix an how much
don't worry i'm thinking the worst and starting to save all my penny's
cheers all

can you check for error codes on the your car (my knowledge on legacys is non existant tbh) to see why the CEL flashes.

it does sound like one of the turbos is unhealthy.
