Chips away
#1
just a note of interest
I was having the guy from chips away to fix up a couple of scratches today, he called to say that with the weather he could not do it.
One of the things I did not know is that he needed access to power which means I cant have it done at my office anyhow. I thought that they could do it almost anywhere.
so to save anyone having this be aware I would not have know apart from the quick chat I had this morning. would have waisted my time as well as his.
not a bad point just some info.

in the back of their van chips away and most others have a portable generator (electric) which they use for their spray guns. Being electric it needs plugging in.
When they have sprayed the car they will then get out an electric heater to help dry the paint.
short term these repairs are ok, but if you're looking at keeping your car for a couple of years then use a bodyshop who bake the paint in an oven, this will last longer without fading.

its a compressor m8 not a genny....a genny "generates" power thus does not need plugging in just a bit of petrol.
You plug your gun into the Compressor which provides "compressed air"
just for the record m8
