do i need a re map?
hi can anybody advise me please, i have a 99 classic turbo 2000, on wkend i changed exhaust to 3" straight through no cats, fitted larger ihi vf 23 turbo (second hand) and a slightly larger turbo inlet pipe as old one had split, now though engine management light is on and i think theres about 5 faults on it, and engine wont rev above 4k, i guess ecu is confused i have tried reset with no joy, much appreciate any help thanks adam

Yes you do, most definitely!!
Sounds like the ECU has gone into limp home mode.
You wouldn't get anything like the optimal gains for those mods without the remap anyway.
Tell us where you are and we'll recommend a good mapper.

Highly recommend Bob Rawle for the re map as I am sure loads of others will. Drive steady from where you are, you will have more fun on the way home He's a top guy and goes that extra bit just to get it right. When I had my MY99 mapped we did all the 'runs' and I had approx 270bhp, he knew something was wrong(I was happy!) So back to his, diagnosed drilled out restrictor (previous over boost issue I guess). Popped in an STi one, back out on the road. Then had 281 bhp & 312lb/ft. He really won't stop until he's happy
