What should the peak boost level be for a PPP'd STi ?
It's currently holding 1.1bar and drives great, but I have read elsewhere that it should be running more like 1.3bar ?
What would cause the low boost ?

From memory it peaks very briefly at 1.3/1.4 bar
then hold about 1.1 bar.
To be honest, I'd probably get it remapped too (I used to have an MY02 STI).
My MY05 UK STK used to have the PPP fitted.
Now its been remapped by Andy Forrest its like driving a different car.
Although having said that I'm now used to the extra power.
It now has full boost (1.4 bar) from approx 2,700rpm and keep that until 7K if I remember correctly.
I don't take it that high - no point. Just grab another gear about 6K.

toying with the idea of a re-map... sounds like the best mod for the car by far !
Just wondering why mine would be peaking at 1.1bar when it should 1.3/4 bar.. what physically controls the boost, is it the actuator or the boost solenoid ? could either of these be responsible for my low boost level ?
Would like to know that everything was A1 before contemplating the re-map..
Also; I know the re-map question has been flogged to death, but can a PPP'd ecu be mapped, or would I be better buying an ecu that had already been ecutek'd and then getting it mapped for my car ?
Just wondering what the most cost effective way of doing it is ?
Thanks..
