Default Rubber pipe beside gearbox

Noticed today that there was a leak under the car turned out it was water not petrol phew!! Anyway jacked the car up got under it and noticed that the drips of water appear to come from a little rubber pipe that hangs down beside the gearbox ( i think it looks like some kind of overflow or breather pipe) Wondered if someone could shed some light into what it could be?

Car is an import WRX 1996

the pipe in question releases the condensation from the air conditioning inside the car, nothing to worry about
