Default fan switch (sti v4)

im looking to put my new fan switch on, but im struggling to find where abouts it is, i know its on the block but which side and where abouts? pics would be brilliant if anyone has some

There is no such thing as a fan switch on your car.

Your fans are controlled by the engine ECU.

There is a temperature sensor which the ecu uses for various jobs which is fitted to the metal water rail which runs under your inlet manifold.

If you look down and behind your alternator you will see a grey sensor which has 3 wires going to it, this is the sensor used by the ecu.
