Default please help needed

due to goign on a track day and my exhaust was too loud or on border line i got underneath it last night a si have a pit in my garage, only to find out that the guy before me has fitted a newage exhaust! on to a 99 classic uk turbo
none of it really lines up or sits even close to the resess of the original.

as my car was border line i was just going to fit a std sti box for track days as i thought it was a full 2.5" decat system, now it turns out to be a 3" newage system on my car.

so now i dont know which way to turn, as i did not really want to spend anymore cash on that car as i have had enough issues with it and the work not being done right in the first place.

can anyone tell me what size the piping on the newage std system is did subaru stick with 2.5" or go to 3" on the newage cars?

are the downpipes different as i maybe be able to get a centre section and back box from a p1?

or to be on the safe side do i need to get a whole new system fitted then remapped?

front down pipes are different on newage to old age. P1 centre section is same as classic but doesn't have a cat in it. Dont think newage cars had 3 inch only aftermarket ones.
