Default vf23 Vs vf35

rb5 - currently im running a vf23 @ 1.3bar giving me 326bhp 315lb ft, it made this with a slipping clutch aswell...

now i am told that 1.3 is the max boost i can run on this tubby and i wont see much more power from a 23...

now i may be buying a 35 as its just come up but unsure its worth it really, am i correct that there only good for 340bhp and how much torque ????

will i notice a quicker spool time or not ??

current setup -
full decat
fmic
vf23
tek3

any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

The VF 35 on my MY99 with supporting mods makes 340bhp and 343 ft lbs on Vpower at 1.35 bar peak. Great turbo, spools up very quickly and doesn't feel much more laggy than the TD04.

Is it worth the upgrade....depends how much you can source one for and fitting costs I guess.

Ns04

as said depends on cost, no doubt you'll need another remap too, so it might just be worth goin for a bigger turbo like a td05 18g or an MD321H to see a big difference...

i like the VF35 on mine same as NS04 running 1.35 bar and there may be scope for a little more boost with some octane booster but at a guess id say its around 300-310bhp, i think fuel was my limiting factor during remap(97 ron) we dont have V power :-(

should just need a teak as i already got a tek3 on it, they dont cost too much.
