I need to change the coolant in my 97 uk turbo--what type of coolant do i need ?
i have some renualt coolant in the garage will that do??

 

hi mate have a look in your header tank too see what colour it is ? in mine its green type ... i think 7ltrs req only 3 ltrs coolent and 4ltrs water but not 100% on that ..

 

I dont think theres much in there but there is a slight green/blue tint to the water.
I have only had the car since feb and the car dealer i got it from had the belt done and i think that they had the rad off and not used any coolant
The renault coolant that i have is green in colour and is glycol rx type d.

 

the colour doesnt matter so much as the properties of it, cant remember now what it was but i have got blue in mine but it met the regs of alloy engines,as long as it states alloy engines etc should be o.k
