Default Oil Pump

My Legacy is leaking oil from the oil pump area. I can see from the manual that I'm going to have to dismantle most of the front of the engine to get to it.
Any tips for removing the crankshaft pulley nut?
Is there anything I need to particularly be aware of when removing or reassembling the pump?
If it all goes horribly wrong, anyone know of any independant specialists in the Bucks/Herts area?
Cheers, Jerry

Might be the crank seal in the pump leaking or the back plate screws on the pump loose, causing the leak.
