my mates needing the head gaskets done on his 1993 wrx,any idea roughly how much this will cost him

 

what makes him think it's the head gaskets???

 

not sure the whole symptons,coolant coming out of the small plastic bottle beside the battery,although the car does not heat up,the gauge sits normal after any type of driving,the heater works fine,noticed that the bottom radiator hose is cold,could it maybe just be an air lock,it does not seem to use water,after it has cooled down the level in the main header tank is fine,any ideas

 

sounds to me like the actual cylinder heads, they need to be removed and pressure tested
