Default Speedo head diagram

Bit of a longshot really but does anyone have/know of an exploded diagram of an early WRX speedo head (guessing 93-96 speedo heads are the same) as my main odometer has stopped working.

Your speedo is mechanical not electrical in the way it is driven, so a diag won't help much I'm afraid

If the odometer has stopped working, but the speedo is still ok, then you will need a new speedo assay. The speedo is driven by a cable running up from your gearbox which turns the needle on the speedo head to show your road speed. It is the speedo that then drives a mechanism to run the odometer.

Cheers how does the speedo drive the odometer is it by a worm drive?

Slightly annoyed as this is the second one that has broken on me

2nd one?? how unlucky is that!!

Yup it's worm drive and a set of cogs, but be carefull if you decide to pull it apart to have a look. The speedo mechanism also produces a pulsed signal which is fed to the engine management ECU & if you loose this signal, the check engine lamp will come on & your car will go into "limp home"

Right i've actually fixed the odometer but need help adjusting the speedo needle as it over reads slightly at 30mph it's reading about 40mph and the gap between real speed and displayed speed gets wider at higher (legal speeds).
Last time this happened it got altered on a r/r is this going to be alright?
