Iv been looking on RHDJapan, they do two Tomie mani's and Up pipes, which do i need for my 97 type r, v4.

There are loads of up-pipes available over here, unless you are based in the US? Hayward & Scott, Power Engineering, Scoobyworld and Scooby Clinic all do decent ones...
Without looking, I think the up-pipes are the same for most turbo cars from around 1992 to 2000. The above sites will have more detail.

IIRC You need to change the sump to fit an equal length manifold, might be deciding factor?

 

So the other one is an equal length one, why are the up pipes different, one is single pipe and the other twin pipes?

My mistake mate, there for the twin scroll turbo, not equal length.

Is the VF23 not twin scroll then? Are the bigger VF turbos twin scoll?
