Default What components are needed to rebuild a bottom end?

Bottom end has gone on my car and needing rebuilt. Looking to price up fixing it or fitting bottom end from another car.

What parts are needed to fix the car? Sounds like the bearings or rods have gone on it.

Looking on ebay.com I can get:

Standard size JE Pistons
Eagle H Beam Rods
JE Moly Racing Rings

£450 delivered.

Set of bearings for the crank and rods

£50

Can I reuse my crank or does anyone have any advice where I can get one from?

Is there anything else I'd need?

thanks

Suggest you bin the crank and get a new one, don't be tempted to regrind it or anything like that - it's the first thing to go in and last thing to come out, so if it fails after all your hard work on the other components you'll kick yourself, circa £350 I believe.

Might pay to have a word with David at Api mate.

you could prob get a complete 2.5 sti short block for cheaper from america, and they are well capable of 400/400, just depends if you want to stick with the 2.0 or not, or go for a bullet proof 2.0

id say 2.5 would be the cheaper option and u can use your existing 2.0 heads....throw a nice 18g on there and u have a really good goin car....just watch the gearbox and clutch though, its always one thing leads to another
