Default Replacing intercooler - STi

I'm having a real problem getting the intercooler back on to my 03 STi
Can't get the hose onto the turbo as the short hose on the throttle body won't allow me to get a decent angle.
Is there a trick with this or a technique in getting both hoses on? Getting a bit p***ed off now! HELP!

Take the right hand IC support off the manifold - its held on with two short bolts. Put that arm back on the IC with its long bolt.
Now try putting the IC back on.
I found that removing the RH bracket at the manifold and not at the IC makes putting it back on a lot easier.

I did that but took the bracket off altogether!
It's the combination of the two hoses that's the problem. Without the throttle body hose in position, it goes on. But then you can't squeeze that hose through the gap and into position!

I had trouble at first, it is tricky, what I did what helped was to take the intercooler to throttle hose off and secure it to the throttle, it seems to line up easier like this for me. Good luck

Well, finally got it fitted. The main culprits were the two breather pipes from the crankcase and cam cover to the catch tank not allowing the turbo to IC silicon pipe the best angle to approach the turbo. Re-routed one a bit lower and held the other one out of the way while positioning the IC then releasing it once the job was done. For a job you would think was simple, it was an absolute git!
