This might be a silly question but is it OK to tow the imprezas? I need to get my new project home and was going to use an A bar to do the job. Will this be OK? Just don't want to damage any of the 4x4 drivetrain

As long as all 4 wheels are on the deck all is fine.

 

All four wheels on the deck, or all four wheels off the deck(recovery truck or similar) and all will be well.
