When set at low boost (Around 0.8 bar) its fine however when up at 1.2 and you let off hard in 3rd or 4th you get a slight chirp noise. The when spinning up in 4th the turbo sounds more...well loud, cant describe it.

Could this be due to the DV not sealing properly?

 

I ain't no expert but, yes i would say that it is a DV issue or leaking pipe around the same area. What DV have you got fitted recirc or VTA? Someone else may have a better idea of whats going on but that is where i would start. Hth

 

Thanks, just reasuring hearing someone else is thinking the same. Its a Forge VTA. Like I said only happens on the higher setting.

 

I have the forge on mine too, are you sure you have the correct spring fitted? They do a full replacment/modified spring kit for the DV which allows you to tune the DV to any boost mods you may have. I have a spare kit if you need it, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 blue and 1 red with a couple of shims Can let you have it for half price, £12
