Story begins an hour or so ago... car- wrx bugeye import 2000

driving along at 75mph... i hear what sounded like a whoosh of air, i back off the gas slighty and them apply the accelerator, there is a drastic loss in the power i am used to... the car gets me home with no rattles bangs or warning lights... but at the same time the turbo doesn;t kick in at any stage...

once home i go back to the car and start it... i rev it up a little and hear grinding noises from the turbo area...

have i blown the turbo, or is it something different??

ps.. no oil or mess under bonnet

 

might be a blown turbo, have a quick scout arount to see if theres any pipes that have come off is the first step
