Question ARE NEW AGE & CLASSIC DOWNPIPES INTERCHANGABLE ???

As per title... I know the OEM New Age downpipe is in two parts, but its overall pattern looks exactly the same as the Classic single-piece item(?). Can anyone confirm if this is so?

Thanks, John.

My 93 WRX has its Lambda sensor in the driver's side header - I'd just need a metal blanking plug for the d/p's hole .

Is there anyone out there that's fitted the New Age 2-part d/p to a Classic?

John,

Just the downpipe on it's own won't fit.

The centre section of exhaust fitted to New Age car is shorter than that fitted to a Classic.

The length of the rear silencer fitted to both generations of car are however the same, so if you had both the dp & the centre section it would then fit.

And just as a foot note, if you wanted to swap rear silencers between cars then the centre mounting hanger has to be removed as they are at different angles.

Phil
