hi i have a mint 1994 uk impreza turbo she has 125k on the clock but, she has been very well looked after with every service upto to date and money thrown at her when its needed.
the car has got a few mods front mount intercooler, induction kit, HKS super drager turbo back exhaust and a forged d/v. i want to hit the 300bhp (reliable) mark and was wondering what i would need to do to get there?
o and i have an apexi power fc or Greddy E-manage piggy-back ecu coming my way

I think with a suitable mapping session, the bits you have and the apexi fc should get around the 280 mark . Anymore than that you will need a bigger turbo I believe. And another thing to consider is the mileage . more power and you might need to consider engine and even gearbox rebuilds , but you never know you might be lucky

yeah i know i've been told that it may need a rebuild by meaning performance companies. but subaru say its ok?? im looking at rebuilding the engine in september.

Did the early uk turbos not come with a tdo5 turbo and later uk models were then the tdo4 if it is a erly one with a tdo5 then standard 380cc injectors 280- 300 bhp larger injectors tdo5 is good for 350 bhp. any thing over 300 of torque and gearbox tend not to like it .
would also put standard re-circ dump valve back on rather than vta one , do a search there have been a few probs they tend not to like the vta , up to you though .
