Default How much power?

Hi there,
Just had my STI V2 555 run on a rolling road. The results were a disapointment althought i was infomed that the figures were normal:

Here they are:

Wheel power - Pwheel: 169 BHP
Engine power: Pengine: 240.8 BHP
Max Torque at 5890 RPM 153.4Kmh

These figures are well down on Subaru's spec of 275 BHP.

It even more disapointing as the car came with a sports exhaust and and new HKS triple layer dry filter. I was (maybe stupidly) expecting more than 275BHP.

Ultimately i would like to bring her upto 320BHP and was hoping to do this for about 1000 pounds. Is this achievable??

This is the first time i have owned a scooby and the first time i have delved into the world of tuning.

Am i justifed in being disapointed

Your advice will be greatlly appreciated.

Regards

where was it rolling roaded ?
what was the torque figure ?
what petrol do you use ?

remember the BHP figure quoted was on 100 RON fuel and when the car was new
it's 13 years old now.

to get it up to 320 bhp you'd need a full decat(unless it already has 1 , check down-pipe) and simtek ecu , turbo, intercooler, gearbox and injectors, if in good condition, are good for 320 bhp. also consider an organic clutch, like exedy.

Thanks for your reply an sorry for delay.

Torque was 275.3 nm. I relaise to in standard spec to achieve the full 275BHP would be unrealistic from a 13 year old car, but is 240BHP accepable ? I was hoping someone out there could tell me what their figures were llike so i could compare them.

Torque is well down, my near stock Foz (UK model) made 320Nm, yours should be nearer that in lbft!
