I appear to have a broken Lambda whatsit....
Hi all,
Took my car for it's MOT two days ago, and suprise suprise, my car failed. *Sigh*
In order to remedy what had failed, I had to replace the dscs and pads and exhaust (a lovely revolution jobby!), but when i took back for re-test, the ****** failed again.
This time it failed on Lambda reading being too high. I assume this is a common prblem that many people have faced? I have a basic understanding of the lambda sensor and how it works, and that it helps the ECU balance air/fuel mix. I Have looked over my emmisions test results, and what puzzles me is that CO and HC reading are well below the limit and are fine, however this bl**dy lambda reading is too high.
Anyone got any suggestions to what could be causing it? Help and advice would be gratefully recieved where possible!
For info, already ruled out exhaust, as its brand new and just been fitted professionally a day ago. So no holes that could give false readings. Only other thing i can think of, is that I have aKN air induction kit as a replacement for the stock filter. Can't see this as causing problems, but hey.. I could be wrong..
Any suggestions people?
Cheers!

Don't know if the ECU has thagt kind of function to be honest. It's a year 2000 GC8.
I took the car to tyne view garage, not to far from the the CAR wash place on commercial road.
