100 quid mod

100 quid mod
Fancy treating the car to some sort of modification for a hundred quid or so.
Car: MY00 UK Turbo
Already decatted, well downpipe to go on this weekend. Will be a full magnex, with Prodrive backbox. Got a Green panel filter on standard airbox, don't really want to get rid of that for an IK. Got a dawes boost controller, DEFI boost gauge with nomad pod holder, elec folding mirrors.
Thats it really. Don't mind some suspension/handling mods, if there are any for around a tonne. Also looking for a better steering wheel.
Any suggestions, dare I say it "sensible" suggestions?

Also got braided brake lines, never fitted yet though
Not too keen on a Knock link.
Same goes for a Walbro, as I won't be expecting to have it remapped or mess with the Fuel Pressure anytime soon.
Pads, no, got some newish ones on it.
Interested in Solid Rear drop links and F/R anti roll bar bushes.
Got any links? What will they do, as I'm a complete suspension novice?

O/E droplinks are made from plastic and they flex when cornering hard! The idea of the solid ones is to stiffen up the back end abit reducing flex. You can get billet alloy ones for about £60 or steel equivalent for £40.
As for the antiroll bar bushes the O/E ones are rubber which degrade over time. Aftermarket ones are polyurathene and much stiffer there usually £12-£15 a pair, you need a pair for the front and another for the rear. They just tighten things up abit.

first off dump the daws, setting it up yourself is asking for it to go pop.
personaly i'd get the mods fitted then the £100 get it dyno'd to make sure its running ok, and save the change

Dawes is fine. Got it set a 1.1 bar, on my Defi, and not touched it since. I've had turbo cars before, and TBH don't think the Scoob is any different despite what people say. If I've set the boost too high, then I can expect trouble, but I haven't.
Appreciate the help and link so far, but as mentioned, I'm a serious suspension novice so if you've got links/info on the 22mmARB or the ALK, that would be even better.

joey turbo, The rallynuts link i put up has 22mmARB's and antilift kits at the bottom of the page.
The 22mmARB is a great idea!! Not sure if you will need a re-alignment tho?? Wouldnt think you would as your not messing with strut to hub position? Maybe wrong tho!
What was the standard boost before you upped it to 1.1?

Yeah the dawes are spot on for overcoming spikes, used the same method on mine.
Personaly id go for the arb, it'l make the most difference for your £. But without doing the drop links aswell your not guna get the full benefit....Though its defo a step in the right direction!!

So this: rallynuts.com motorsport : Whiteline Anti-Roll Bar Front Subaru Impreza motor sports & karting
and these: rallynuts.com motorsport : Whiteline Anti-Roll Bar Drop Link Kit Front Steel Subaru Impreza motor sports & karting or these: rallynuts.com motorsport : Whiteline Anti-Roll Bar Drop Link Kit Front Alloy Subaru Impreza motor sports & karting
Don't need any brake pads, and the braided hoses is a job in waiting (waiting for my lazy a*se). Got the fluids waiting for when I do the hoses also.
Beer? Whats that? No time for beer these days

And these:rallynuts.com motorsport : Whiteline Anti-Roll Bar Drop Link Kit Rear Steel Subaru Impreza motor sports & karting
You'll get similar stuff cheaper if you search around, but you get the idea
