Default Turbo Surging HELP!

I have just had the car mapped by JGM but both of us noticed in 5th and 6th a slight flutter from the turbo.

Simon has informed me to ditch the CAIK to make more power and cut out that surge but i really want to keep it for the noise

It's only when under load and the starts around 4000rpm and has gone my 5500rpm.

Between these 2 fiqures the car does not pick up as well but as said above it goes by 5500rpm and then picks up a lot better.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this? Stronger/Better turbo???

Sorry if i'm not explaining mysef very well.

Thanks

Chris

stick with what simon says and ditch the caik.

he has been in your car so can offer better advice than anyone on here who is only going on your explanation of the problem,he is also a very knowledgeable guy so if he advises dumping the caik that is what i would do.

if you are after a bit of induction and dump valve noise why not refit the original air box with a decent panel filter and just ditch the resonator from the o/s inner wing?

Cheers for the info!

I'm not that clued up with Subaru's to be honest.

All i want is that jet engine starting up type sound when the turbo is spooling.

To be honest the car is plenty enough quick enough and i don't really cain it it high gears enough to warrent losing the noise over a bit of top end power.

Don't get me wrong i am willing to chuch a bit of extra money at getting this resolved without losing the sound if possible.

Cheers

Chris
