Cool Time for "the" upgrade!

Hey,

Gonna be performing an upgrade to my MY05 WRX SW relatively soon and was hoping for some constructive "criticism"/advice on the following equipment upgrades.

Starting from back to front:

--Perrin Stealth Cat-Back Exhaust with the associated up and down pipes.

--Perrin Top Mount Intercooler

--Perrin WRX Fuel System (maybe still considering)

--New hosing

--IHI VF 34 Turbo

--Iridium Spark plugs

--Upgraded clutch

--Quickshift

--Dash mounted instruments for oil temp and so on.

--Intercooler water spray and associated water tank

--Tarox 10/12 pot brake upgrade (front and rear) or Brembo......

--(Already got STi strut bars)

--Remap of course!

Dunno if I am missing anything else?

Hoping to extract around + 320 BHP

Ta

Perrin WRX Fuel System, considering it, even though it is a bit expensive.

Also forgot the K&N filter.

i would add a bigger turbo inlet , consider the Perrin 5 or 6ply silicone inlet , allows faster spool. Are u using larger injectors , consider STI pinks 565cc.

Looking for around 320 PS, not really monster power (yet) and to be able to ride around town, go to work, to the shops and so on.

i am no expert , just writing from experience , had the perrin turbo inlet with VF30 similar to VF34, no surge with stock size 65mm intake pipe with the perrin turbo inlet tapering to 2.4''.
The sti pinks are good , but i max mine at 95% duty cycle with my VF30 .My experience > 350bhp , go larger 650cc. But u are aiming for 320bhp , they will be ideal .

Recommend also wrap downpipe and use turbo wrap or get jetcoating on the VF34 , because those IHI turbos as compared to MHI turbos give off far more heat . The sti TMIC will work , but will get a lot of heat soak , once u are on the fly TMIC will be very cold , but at the lights it heat soaks like hell. With the wrap and jetcoat your IC water reservoir will last longer . Makes a huge difference .

I was not aware of the issues with "heat", thought the material would deal with it one way or another.

personaly i'd dump the larger top mount in favour of a front mount, remove the fuel kit but add a walbrough 255, and as said you'll need larger injectors 550's will do it in a crawl.

shouldn't need a pressure reg, but might be worth it for the extra bit since they aint hugely expensive.

question is do you need the cats? plenty of friendly mot places around , and will give you abit extra.

further on, might be worth considering an oil cooler

440's should be good for 350, but iirc the wrx's don't seem to make that so some nice 550's should do.

mine (440's) on a uk classic are running 340, with some room to spare

guessing yes lol

mines not far off 350 and has fueling left, but i know new age cars struggle due to not enough fuel, unless the new age wrx's come standard with 380's?

MOTs suck here, and so the Sports CAT is a must. As for the Front mount I dunno if it looks as good.......

That is good to know. If you ever need a few more PS then you already have that covered!

From what I have read, the VF34 seems to be the best value for money and power. Many of the other turbos seem to be very expensive.........

Anyone had any problems with the 34?
