hi all need some help been told my ecu has a problem and need a new one car is 98 turbo will an ecu from a 97/99 model fit or just a 98 thanks in advance

check it is a 3plug.. 97/98 ecu, if a uk then you need to get the key coded

you need to match uk with uk ecu, wrx with wrx ecu and sti with sti ecu



but why do you think it is at fault? it is unlikely to be

its been in the garage for a week it turns over but doesnt start but you can hear a loud ticking noise aa fella tried it he thought it was an earthing problem theres no spark inj arent opening immob been bypassed dont know what else to do

crank and cam sensors been swapped?

is the fuel pump priming?

im not really sure until i speak to him on tues what hes done alltogether when ive spoken to him ill post more on the problem thank you for the reply so far
