Default closed deck or open ????

need some help people how can i tell by looking at a complete impreza engine with the heads on if it is an open deck or closed deck is there any markings or numbers on the block to look for any help would be great thanks

Is it something to do with the EJ205/EJ207 numbers?

The closed deck block has cross hatchings stamped on it bit like this

A closed deck block, as said will have cross hatching just above the oil filter location.
