When i had me gearbox sorted out a months ago. they removed the downpipe bracket and never put it back on the car. the exhaust is now very rattley. Just in the process of ordering one from subaru and want to know exactly where its bolts to. Anyone got any picutes MY00 Classic around the downpipe area... where the downpipe bracket connects to the downpipe and to the car.


Any pictures anyone????

if its the one I am thinking, it is underneath the car where the crossmember runs across. If you get under the car, look around the crossmember area where the gearbox is, you should see the mounting.

The rattle is a pain in the ****, I had to remove mine when I fitted a decat as the new downpipe was a larger diameter so the bracket wouldnt fit correctly. Reverese is the biggest problem

In the end I just bashed the bracket and fit is as best I could

 

yea at the moment i have not got no bracket under the car..... i need to know what it looks like and what i need to order from subaru to get the right bracket. there is a bracket on my downpipe but nothin to connect it to the car..

Its bolted to the very back of the box with 2 nuts, right by the linkage. its an "L" shaped bracked with a little hook that locates the down pipe bracket.

 

Or has anyone got a picture of the underneath of there Turbo 2000 so i can have a little look to get an idea. cheers dave...
