Default How do you remove the Crankshaft Timing Sprocket?

As in the title, doing the front crank oil seal and cambelt. I have removed the cambelt and have tried to remove the crank sprocket but it is solid.

Put the car in gear and foot on the brake pedal....

Although this should have been done prior to removing belt

The timing gear, not the bolt and pulley as they are already removed. Should the timing gear just pull off or what? I have tried pulling it by hand and it doesn't budge.

They tend to corrode in place - lever the sprocket off with 2 screwdrivers or a small heel bar, careful not to break any of the timing lugs or damage the oil pump body when doing it.
