Default Turbo chatter

After fitting my fmic and induction im hearing this noise a lot and i wish to stop it.

Thing is i had a dv outlet pipe welded on so im thinking maybe it's too close to the throttle body so the dv isn't having enough time to vent the boost.

Or.

This is just a natural noise because of the above bits fitted.

Can anyone help?

i noticed more noise from mine after fitting fmic,i had a flange made to fit the standard recirc dv so i assume it just happens due to change in charecteristics of charge air induction?
so i have just ignored it.

Well that's the thing, above 0.5 bar the vta dv ive put on works fine but i get the chatter as well, i have the pipe just a couple inches closer to the throttle body so it can't make that much of a difference.

Mind it does sound flaming gorgeous when you get the chatter along with the forge venting, sounds flaming evil.

Im just not keen on compressor stall and would rather avoid it for very obvious reasons.

Im hoping the apexi i have coming might change it enough to prove to me the noise is from the induction.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

I though compressor stall was fairly benign, in that it isn't harmful like compressor surge can be, which is what mine's doing till I junk the standard turbo....

Well from what ive read compressor stall and surge are both one and the same though there does seem to be a lot of misinformation on this.

But one common factor to cause this is fitting an fmic along with an induction kit.

So im thinking with the increased diameter of the piping means the spring needs to be weaker in order to open correctly hence why mine currently opens above 0.5 bar despite having the standard spring inside.

Also the dv being close to the throttle butterfly is a non issue, that is meant to be the optimum position anyway.

Methinks some machining of the dv piston is in order.
