Default help needed engine temp maxxing

need your help guys

i have an 07sti,just fitted a complete set of samco's today, went for a little run around the block to check leakage etc, after about 2 miles my water temp gauge was at max,and the defi was going crazy, beeping away

i have looked under the bonnet but cannot see any loose pipes or leakage, all pipes are sucured with jubilee clips etc,but the water temp is hitting 120 D

any ideas guys,i have done a search, could it be airlock in the pipes maybe ?????????

cheers marcus

Can you create a vacuum and draw out the airlock?

Take the cap of the header tank. let the car idol until it gets up to temp.

Give the top rad hose a squeeze to encourage the air blockage to move. Should get pockets of air escaping thought the header tank. The water will displace the air and you will have to top up with coolant.

Hope you get it sorted.
