My scoob has been running funny the past few weeks, its been holding back low down in the revs as boost picks up, anyway i had it looked at over the weekend by a specialist an everything was going wrong on the laptop, basically knock came up which was not good, now my heat shield around my up pipe has got rattle an has been getting worse over the past few weeks, he said that it could be the knock sensor picking up on the rattle and in turn the ECU holds back, oh yeah the rattle is low down in the revs as well, i only had an engine rebuild done about 35,000 miles ago, im hopping that it is that but im worried that it might not be an im scared to drive it until i get the heat shield sorted at the weekend, has anyone had this sort of problem before

 

heat sheild rattle is as common as scoobs, get it sorted and see what happens.
