Default 03 Sti tuning

I'm thinking of buying an 03 plate standard Sti.

Could anyone tell me what sorts of mods I'd need to reach around 350/400bhp as I currently have a 320/320 classic uk turbo so I dont think i'll be too impressed with it in standard form.

Many thanks in advance.

I think a re-map and a full de-cat (plus uprated fuel pump) will see you close to 330 bhp, some a bit more. Biggest difference is the way they drive afterwards. Better response, and pull all the way to the 7800 rpm limit, mine didn't seem worth going over 6500 rpm till re-mapped.

You may need un-equal length manifold for more like 360 bhp and more mid-range torque, then you need a bigger turbo to reach 400 bhp......

to get near 350 you'l need turbo back exhaust either full 3inch or 2.5inch with sports cat or de cat depend what you want mot time. a good panel filter and walbro 255 fuel pump and remap should see you near that.

for 400 you'l need above and new turbo a md321 h and gt spec 2 headers and upgraded injectors 650s are usually recommended and maybe in wing induction depends what your mapper recomends and you should hit 400 if not a tad above

if you go for below this say 370 to 390 then as above but tdo5 20g or 18g with fuel pressure regulater and either gt spec 2 headers or ported standard with matched up pipe

hope that helps
