TD vs VF up-pipe question !

Anoraks on !

Will a VF series turbo (non-dual scroll) from a new-age STI (VF 30 ?) fit the up-pipe on a classic that currently uses a TD series turbo ?

As far as im aware all pre twin scroll turbos use the same design uppipe,ie vf series and td series,twin scroll versions are different so are not compatable.......
