power fc hand commanders are interchangeable?
or are the ecu specific?

as u can buy commanders seperatly i would persume that they are interchangable

nope.. you need the right version.. newer powerfc's I can tell you the commander you need but older ones used different versions and you cannot be sure until you plug it in.. if it is wrong it will just display APEXI on the screen and not cause damage. Also some commanders will work with a couple of powerfc versions etc.. so you might get lucky.
