I read an Australian article a while back , where the workshop attempted to extract maximum power/torque from the standard WRX engine.
Ultimately the key factor after addressing the breathing/fuel /engine management issues was the change out of the cams . This alone made an extraordinary difference to how the engine performed and permitted the full use of bigger turbos .
Have any members here replaced the cam shafts and any tips would be appreciated.
