Default Does this sound familiar?

I know this isn't technically a post about a Subaru, however it is a post about a turbo engine

After the help i've received from some of the wiser members on here, I thought someone might have an idea about a problem a friend is having.

Basically, he's got a Seat Ibiza and ever since he's had a stage 2 map put on it, it

"on full boost it bangs and judders and wont rev also at high rev’s If you have foot right down wont hit redline just slowly creeps up but never gets there."

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

So far he's spent £600 trying to get it fixed with no joy.

Probably he is running too much boost and getting knock and/or misfiring from overwhelming the plugs.

He could try reducing his boost and see what happens.

Hya,

Might sound daft but make sure you have no boost leaks, I had a tiny split, which I couldnt really see, and had the same problems.

Cheers guys.

He did have a leak, but has since replaced the pipe. It was leaking around one end.

I'll ask him about the amount of boost...

I've spoken to my mate.

The boost has been turn up with a remap to a safe level but is now running low boost settings due to this problem.

The car has been tested for miss fire and all coil packs and spark plugs have been replaced along with MAF coolant temp sensor the boost controller has been changed also. The air fuel ratio shows over fuelling and the injectors are overworking so he's thinking it’s the front lambda sensor now.

Any ideas guys?
