Default Throttle position sensor

Right guys, I have a 1999 sti type R jap import, got idling problems - how strange NOT!! - changed maf, o2 and ICV reset ECU etc etc. but still no joy. Checked for air leaks still no joy.

I am thinking now it could be related to the TPS, basically the car runs fine but everytime i come to stop the needle drops just above 0 then shoots back up to 600 ish rpm, when standing the idle is fine.

From what I can gather the TPS is on the manifold just below the ICV on my model of car is this correct ?

I have also read on here how to check the volts using a DVM, but I dont understand how to adjust the settings is it a coase of turning the unit itself clockwise or anti-clockwise or what? an idiot proof paragraph would be enough so that I can try adjusting/replacing.

So far no new fault codes or cel lights come on.

all help much appreciated

Have the exact same problem m8, Checked all the things you've done to no avail. My m8 has Subaru cd manual which the dealers have with everything on it, will check tonight about the TPS m8 and let you know!

You can adjust the TPS by undoing the 2 screws and turning the unit in relation to the butterfly position.
