We've supplied and mapped both.
The Apexi is fine, using the original kit, but slightly long in the tooth now, and getting harder to obtain as and when you need one.
The Simtek is a bang up to date product, being updated as new developments come along. Just a few advantages are MAF less operation, full charge temp monitoring and map correction, the ability to use a range of solenoids for full boost control, map switching on the fly, and extras such as launch control and anti lag. Classic Scoobies can have these supplied fitted and mapped for less than a grand including vat!
We started supplying these over a year ago, and have fitted and mapped more than anyone else. We pioneered the use of the Simtek on the VVT Sti's, and we're getting great results and excellent feedback from happy chaps.

Had the Apexi mapped by AF - now have Simtek. Both are very good ecu's but the Apexi is a little old now. I would be happy to run either.
