HI, JUST A QUICK ONE. WHAT IS THE STANDARD TURBO FITTED TO MY JAPANESE 1998 WRX??? THANKS.

should be a TD05 but you'll have to check the numbers on it.

Not on a 98 car, as all of the td05s were 90 degree entry from 97 onwards all imprezas were front entry. It is most likely to be an IHI VF22.

Correct for a saloon, but if its a wagon, then its a TD04.....

The same turbo as the 22b?
The late wrx's were funny things, should be a TD04 though.
Although I have heard VF28's being fitted aswell.

The version 6 wrx runs a vf29 as checked on a friend's car, like you say Chris the late wrx's seem to have got whatever was in the parts bin at the time.
