Default Knock Sensor Problem

I have a MY99 turbo. I have recently changed the MAF sensor and everything was running fine, for a day, until the Check Engine light started coming on again.

I checked it today and it's the Knock Sensor error code. Does anyone know the location of the sensor and what problems a faulty sensor might cause?

Thanks in advance.

I've just changed my MAF and the knock sensor. it was causing lumpy running when cold. its loacated under the intercooler. you have to remove it and use a ratchet with a long extension & a flexi/Universal joint drive.

its abit of a fiddly job & it helps if you have someone holding a torch as the wire coming off the sensor is a pain to get located IMHO

Mine instantly ran better once it was changed
